Summit Point Residents Warned to Stay Clear of Drainage Ditches
July 09, 2016
by Robert LatterySummit Point residents are being warned to remain well clear of the drainage basins and ditches for the next month as Weatherup Construction continues the process of cleaning out those drainage areas.
Summit Point HOA Board President Tom Adams noticed that while the contractor was attempting to clear a path through the drainage areas that large wood chips were being thrown into the air by the heavy machinery. This is a serious safety hazard for anyone attempting to watch the clean up process.
Children may especially be in danger of injury if they try to watch the machines and tractors cutting through the trees and heavy brush in the ditches. Children may be attracted to the sounds and attempt to watch this clean up process near the ditches. Parents are cautioned to keep their children at least 10 to 20 feet away from the ditches through July, if possible.
