Summit Point HOA Faces Lawsuit from Developer

by Robert LatteryThe Summit Point HOA has been named in a lawsuit filed by developer Bob Rolader concerning a proposed residential development adjacent to the Ingles Grocery Store near Summit Point. The lawsuit was filed on February 27, 2017 so that a judge can rule on the Southside Master Plan and how it will affect Rolader's proposed development.
The lawsuit was filed against the Summit Point HOA, the Sheffield Estates Community Association, the City of Fayetteville, and former Fayetteville Planning Commissioner and developer Steven Gulas and his wife Deborah. Further details concerning this lawsuit are available from

A special meeting with attorney Scott Bennett, who will likely represent the Summit Point HOA, is scheduled for March 16, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Fayette County Library. The issues involving this lawsuit will be discussed at that meeting.
