HOA Dues Raised for Summit Point

November 27, 2017
by Robert Lattery

The Summit Point Board of Directors has approved a measure to increase annual dues by $50 for Summit Point residents to $300 per home. This move was made in order to increase the number of basin cleanings from once a year to twice a year.

Area residents complained that the once a year mowing and cleaning of the water basins allowed the vegetation in the basins to become unsightly and overgrown by summer. It costs about $3000 each time the basins are cleaned and those costs are increasing. Basin cleanings had been scheduled for only once a year, in the fall.

The increased dues will allow the basin cleaners to work on the basins twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall. Maintaining clean basins will help the homes in the Summit Point neighborhood retain their value and should make selling property easier.

HOA dues notices have been mailed to Summit Point residents and should be paid by January 1, 2018. Late fees will be accrued starting on February 1, 2018.
