by Robert LatteryThe developer for the Dixon Farms land north of the Summit Point neighborhood, Brent Holdings, has revised its plans for new houses and streets for the new development. Summit Point HOA president, Michelle Handfield, issued the following statement on Wednesday, July 15, 2020:
"Hi Summit Point neighbors, as mentioned on yesterday's annual meeting call, you can now see the updated site plans from the lawyer Mr. Baxter Russell for the developer. They have also extended the second entrance from Whitney a little further north as well, which has led to them going from 48 proposed properties to 47 properties. I have also confirmed with Baxter that my statement yesterday that the zoning has not been approved as yet. At the first meeting with Planning and Zoning the recommendation was given to approve the zoning, and the P&Z committee also advised that they make updates to the site plans. There will be two more meetings with the City Council before the final vote is done to approve the zoning. The first meeting will be tomorrow (July 16, 2020) at 6 p.m. and then on August 6, 2020 will be the decision hearing. If you wish to attend the Councll meetings please adhere to the information on the signs at our subdivision when entering on Summit Point drive."
